Celebrating Longstanding Partnerships: Orion's Commitment to Eastern Health
Last week, our group president Sean and board member Myles were invited by Eastern Health Foundation to an exclusive tour of Box Hill Hospital.
Orion and Eastern Health had a longstanding relationship prior to 2019. Whether supporting the career progress of Eastern Health staff by sponsoring the Eastern Health Staff Development Scholarship program, or contributing towards the purchase of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) equipment, Orion has consistently practiced corporate social responsibility. It takes pride in its continuing support of Eastern Health through various initiatives.
"Thank you so much to everyone at Orion International for your ongoing support of Eastern Health. Partnerships with proud businesses like Orion International play a pivotal role in helping Eastern Health deliver its promise of Healthier Together – in this instance partnerships that save lives. " Veronica Lyons, Director- Eastern Health Foundation.
During the visit, the two Orion guests had a valuable opportunity to see critical medical equipment such as the ECMO, and to understand the intricacies and importance of these lifesaving devices. They were gratified to learn how Orion’s support has helped to save the lives of many critically ill patients over the past few years. One particularly heart-warming story was that of a father whose life had been saved by the ECMO service at Box Hill Hospital, enabling him to attend his son’s recent Police Academy graduation ceremony.
This year the partnership has reached a new milestone with Orion’s support for another Eastern Health project: the Biplane Angiography Suite. The addition of this crucial equipment will benefit patients who have suffered a stroke or other vascular diseases. The upgraded suite both simplifies diagnoses and ensures safer treatment of vascular diseases.
Orion is thrilled to extend its unwavering support to Eastern Health Foundation, underscoring our commitment to the well-being of the community.
