22 William St, Melbourne

In 1921, architect Alfred Romeo La Gerche designed the iconic Swann House at 22 William Street in the palazzo/classical style with an art deco edge.

Orion purchased this historically significant building as a commercial asset in 2014 and sold it in 2019. It was formerly the head office of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria and the central control room of the Commission’s power production pool. The building has undergone several refurbishments and renovations while preserving the art deco theme, and with finishes that echo the history of the site.

This ten-storey building has its primary entrance on William Street and another on Flinders Lane. It benefits from an abundance of natural light from all corners.
